Fighting a deportation order can be complicated and difficult to win but we can help you through the process. Our deportation defense begins by starting to build your defensive strategy by carefully reviewing your particular set of facts and developing a sound legal strategy based on current case law, immigration statutes, and public policy issues. Some strategies can help defend you against your deportation and find solutions to stop the deportation process.

Who is Subject to Deportation?

An immigration judge can deport anyone who is not a United States citizen. This includes lawful permanent residents and nonimmigrant visa holders.

There are three main groups of people who can be subject to deportation.

  1. Non-citizens that have been arrested or convicted of certain crimes.
  2. Non-citizens that have been deported or had a voluntary departure but returned or stayed
  3. Undocumented immigrants who entered without inspection.

Consequences of Deportation

Deportation orders issued in U.S. immigration proceedings have severe consequences. You can become subject to a  20-year, 10-year or 5-year bar from being within the United States.
